So sad news today my friends, not about me or anything, so don't worry about that. No, but it's a dark day for science indeed.
Here's the story: I wake up about half an hour ago and turn on my computer, just like any other day. I sign on I attempt to load skype again (which has been having problems as of late) Following that I open Firefox and immediately go on Youtube, again, like any other day. First thing I do is load another Youtube tab, the first one is ALWAYS for music, so I need a second one to check up on my subscriptions.
There's a few new videos done here and there, mostly just Mindcrack stuff, but then I scroll down a bit and notice that SpaceRip, a Channel I follow specifically for the latest news in science, best channel on Youtube. SpaceRip doesn't upload too often so I prioritized their new video, I'm still debating if this was a good idea or not…
The video I opened is roughly 5 minutes or so long, and it's simply titled "Curiosity's Final Days on Mars" confused I watch while being a bit skeptical because Curiosity is kind of supposed to be on Mars for like the next 20 years or so.
…
…The video briefly describes that, sometime last night, Earths most advanced rover has been destroyed…
See, it turns out a Martian dust storm, and a big one at that, blew by and picked Curiosity up off the surface of the planet, not very high mind you, since the scientists built it to be able to withstand stuff like this, er well, stuff that's not as STRONG as this anyway. The rover was picked up and taken elsewhere, finally, after about 45 seconds of being airborne it's thrown several dozen metres further, finally landing and creating a small crater upon impact…They lost signal to Curiosity that moment…
Here's the video if you want to see it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJgMPD…
I think I'm going to go rethink my life a bit…

Another light Blinks Out
The title of this journal is a metaphor, it's my attempt to symbolize stars out in the universe fading into nothingness billions of years from now. But you and I both know that everything I just said is kind of BS. What this journal's REALLY about is confirmation of what everyone already knows.
I'm finally leaving DA.
It's kind of been coming for a while now, and I had a good run, but it's time to stop fooling myself and officially call it. Now don't get upset, I've been thinking about this for a good while now, so this isn't a spur of the moment thing, I HAVE put thought into this. But when I think back to the glory days, when I was a terr
So I'm 21 now...
...well, I turned 21 about a week ago, but I was waiting for the party, which happened yesterday and today. Television and movies lied to me, as it is, turning 21 doesn't actually matter. Stupid States programming lying to me my whole life, I've been able to drink, smoke and vote since I was 19, 16, and 18 respectively.
Hell I've been drinking since I was 14, under the strict watch of my mother of coarse, so by the time I turned 19 I was pretty experienced enough not to do anything stupid (I swear, SO many people have one bottle of booze and immediately want to steal a goat or something) And by this point I've had enough bottles of beer that
Canada Day 2013
It was 146 years ago that the would-be provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick decided that being British colonies wasn't the ideal situation to find themselves in. So, they band together, putting differences aside and joined, in an act of Union, as the Dominion of Canada. This was the first time in history that the term dominion was used in reference to a country.
The original idea sprouted years earlier, and Canada was pretty much a self-governing colony since the 1840s. But at first the United Kingdom wouldn't let us become our our Nation, so, after having conference after conference, in both future Canadian cities an
Humid
(Insert rant I've given a million times here)
Yeah, it's the start of Humid season here where I live, as is evident by how much it fucking sucked trying to sleep the last two nights. two nights ago I got a restless 6 hours of sleep, and last night I went to bed at about 1/4 after 1am, followed by over 2 hours of trying to fall asleep.
The sleep was alright, but wasn't the most restful, especially given that I woke up at about 8:45. So that's about 5 hours (and I'm used to getting at least 8 or 9, so I'm exhausted) Even worse is that I apparently had some kind of neck spasm just before I woke up, so not only am I exhausted, I'm sore as fuck
